Bard part number 1804-0462 is an OEM high pressure switch assembly used as a critical safety control in Bard wall-mounted HVAC equipment. It monitors the high side refrigerant pressure and is designed to open the control circuit at approximately 650 PSI and reset around 520 PSI, helping protect the compressor and refrigeration components from damage caused by abnormal operating conditions such as dirty condenser coils, restricted airflow, overcharge, or condenser fan issues. Because pressure switches are application specific, confirm your unit model and the required connection style before ordering, and if your system has been updated, note that 1804-0462 has commonly been superseded by 1804-0462BX.
