Bard part number 5201-016 is an OEM liquid line filter drier with 1/2 inch sweat connections, used in Bard wall mounted air conditioners and heat pump systems to help keep the refrigerant circuit clean and dry. Replacing the liquid line drier during major sealed system service, after a component changeout, or anytime contamination is suspected helps protect critical components by capturing moisture, acids, and debris that can damage metering devices and compressors. This Bard 5201-016 filter drier is intended to be installed in the liquid line in the correct flow direction and should be matched to the unit and refrigerant type listed in the Bard service literature for proper fit and performance.
