Bard 5625-018 is an OEM refrigerant distributor with nine outlets and a factory 0.104 orifice, used in Bard wall-mount and packaged HVAC refrigeration circuits to meter and evenly split refrigerant flow to multiple coil circuits. When a system shows signs of uneven coil feeding, repeat freeze-ups on part of the evaporator, or a restricted distributor, replacing the correct distributor and orifice size helps restore proper superheat balance and overall cooling performance. Because distributor and orifice sizing is application-specific, confirm the unit model and the original distributor/orifice callout in the Bard service literature before ordering to ensure proper fit and correct refrigerant metering.
