Bard part number 5651-233 is an OEM thermal expansion valve with 3/8 inch by 3/8 inch connections used in Bard wall mounted air conditioners and heat pumps to meter refrigerant into the evaporator coil and maintain proper superheat under changing load conditions. A correctly sized, factory matched TXV helps stabilize suction pressures, reduce coil flooding risk, and restore consistent cooling performance when a valve is sticking, restricted, or out of calibration.
