The Bard 800-0422 Distributor Assembly is an OEM refrigerant distribution component used in Bard wall mounted air conditioners and heat pump systems to split metered refrigerant evenly into multiple evaporator circuits for stable cooling performance and consistent coil feeding. Installed downstream of the metering device, this distributor helps reduce the risk of circuit starvation and uneven evaporator loading that can show up as poor capacity, icing, or fluctuating superheat. Use this part when servicing a leaking or restricted distributor, and verify compatibility by matching the part number to your unit model and parts list. Note: Bard 800-0422 has been discontinued, and current sourcing may require the direct replacement 800-0422BX.
