Bard 800-0488 is an OEM distributor assembly used in the refrigerant circuit of select Bard wall-mounted packaged air conditioners and heat pumps to meter and evenly distribute refrigerant into the indoor (evaporator) coil. When a distributor becomes restricted or damaged, you can see symptoms like poor cooling capacity, uneven coil temperatures, and hard-to-diagnose performance issues, so replacing it with the correct Bard part helps restore proper refrigerant flow and coil feeding.
