Bard 8402-086 - RK147ET compressor overload protector
The Bard 8402-086 RK147ET overload is an OEM compressor motor overload protector used in select Bard wall mount and packaged HVAC equipment to help prevent compressor damage from overheating or excessive current draw. When operating conditions push the compressor beyond safe limits, this protective device opens the circuit to reduce risk of motor burnout, then allows normal operation to resume once conditions return to an acceptable range (depending on the system design). Because overloads are matched to specific compressor families and electrical characteristics, confirm compatibility by cross-referencing your unit model and wiring diagram before ordering Bard 8402-086.
