Bard 8406-071 is an OEM differential pressure switch used on Bard wall mounted HVAC equipment to prove airflow by sensing pressure difference across the air-moving path and changing state at a factory setpoint of 0.58 in. w.c. (plus or minus 0.05), open on falling pressure. When the switch drifts out of range or sticks, units can short cycle, lock out, or fail safety checks, so replacing it with the correct Bard part helps restore proper operation and diagnostics.
