Bard 8406-109 - Auto reset high pressure switch

Bard part 8406-109 is an OEM auto reset high pressure switch used in Bard wall-mounted air conditioners and heat pumps to protect the refrigeration circuit when discharge (head) pressure rises above a safe limit. When the switch opens, it interrupts operation to help prevent compressor damage from conditions like a restricted condenser coil, condenser fan issues, airflow problems, or overcharge, then it automatically resets once pressure returns to an acceptable range. This is a direct-fit Bard replacement safety control intended to restore proper high pressure protection and normal system operation when your original switch is weak, leaking, or nuisance-tripping.
