Bard 8408-045 - Defrost thermistor sensor

The Bard 8408-045 defrost thermistor is a 10K ohm temperature sensor with 60 inch leads used in Bard wall mount packaged heat pump and air conditioner applications to provide accurate coil temperature feedback for proper defrost control. When a thermistor drifts out of range or fails open or short, the system can experience nuisance defrosting, extended defrost cycles, or ice buildup that reduces capacity, so replacing it with the correct Bard OEM sensor helps restore normal control response and reliable winter operation.
