Bard BFAD-5 - Barometric Fresh Air Damper
The Bard BFAD-5 Barometric Fresh Air Damper is an OEM ventilation component used on Bard wall-mount air conditioners to introduce controlled outside air into the supply stream during blower operation, then close when the blower shuts off to limit unwanted infiltration. Installed on the inside of the unit service door, this barometric damper uses pressure from the indoor blower to open and can be set with adjustable blade stops to dial in the desired ventilation rate or lock the damper closed when outside air is not needed. If you are replacing a worn or damaged damper assembly, BFAD-5 helps restore proper outdoor air mixing and consistent indoor air quality while maintaining the fit and function expected from genuine Bard parts.
